What a day it was! With gale force winds, freezing temperatures, constant rain and the looming restrictions from the Coronavirus pandemic, it was an incredible challenge to get the fete happening, but we did (with jumpers on and lots of hand sanitiser)! Unfortunately we weren’t able to have the rides, but I don’t think the kids cared too much as we didn’t see a single sad face for the entire day! It was so wonderful watching them make their own fun (very high on sugar) and continuing to have a great time despite the conditions.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the school community and everyone who helped make the day such a success. It’s amazing what we managed to achieve and even though the numbers through the gate were down, each stall was still profitable, which is fantastic and sings praises to all the wonderful stall coordinators!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time both on the day and in the lead up to fete day. We had an array of helpers – parents, teachers & staff, grandparents, older siblings, aunties and uncles, members of the Holy Cross parish and of course the wonderful Bosco volunteers.  We couldn’t have done it without every single one of you!

We’d also like to acknowledge all the businesses who have supported our school, not only with the donation of money and prizes but also those who offered us reduced pricing to keep costs down and lending us equipment. A special mention to our Family Fun Day 2020 Sponsors: Ron & Chris Kissell from Ray White Helensburgh, Peabody Helensburgh, and Julie York from Raine & Horne Helensburgh. These 3 businesses not only jumped on board to help this year, but they support us every year and we are so very thankful! We are busy compiling a full list of businesses which we will share both here and on the P & F Facebook page when completed, and we ask that as a community, we actively go and support all of those who have helped us, especially in the current climate when small businesses are suffering.
