PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Carers
Today marks the final day of the delivery of remote learning for our students. On Monday, it will be 9 weeks since the majority of our students have attended school five days per week. Incredible.
To our Parents, Carers, Grandparents and everyone who nurtured the learning, wellbeing and faith development of our students remotely….THANK YOU. I am so sincere when I say, you have done an amazing job. This was never going to be easy and you did it incredibly well.
To the parents who had to send their children to school….thank you for your kind words of support, slices, coffees and of course your trust in us to continue the supervision of your child/ren’s learning.
To Father Paul Clark who supported the staff through this time...even offering to take up additional cleaning duties...we appreciate your visits, sense of humour and your support of us in every way.
To the committed staff at Holy Cross...thank you for your professionalism and flexibility to adapt to the many changes in a very short space of time and the length in which these many changes continued. These times, as we know, have been unprecedented, yet you kept your focus on the learning and wellbeing of our students at all times, despite never having been trained to deliver remote learning at uni or attend to sick-bay during a Pandemic.
Despite our students returning on Monday, we are acutely aware that as a community we need to continue to manage COVID-19. As a school community we must remain vigilant. We are not as yet, Business as Usual, but we are Learning As Usual. We are thrilled to be welcoming our students back on Monday!
