PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents & Carers,
Congratulations to many of our Year 6 students who this week received the Sacrament of Confirmation. This sacrament of initiation links with the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion and marks the first time that most of these young Catholics affirmed the promises made, on their behalf, by their parents at baptism.
At Confirmation, candidates become full members of the Catholic community. Having been sealed with the Holy Spirit, our Year 6 candidates are called to be missionary disciples of Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. Year 6 students are very much in our thoughts and prayers this week as they begin their special work given to them by God.
Thank you to Fr Paul for his organisation of the sacramental program and to Miss Costello for her support of Fr Paul. I also thank Mr Body for his support in preparing our students.
Kindergarten 2021 Orientation
Next week we commence our 2021 Kindergarten Orientation program. This program will run each Tuesday and Thursday morning over the next four weeks and is our first opportunity to get to our students, familiarise them with Holy Cross and welcome them into our school community.
Due to current restrictions we are not able to host our Playgroup Transition to school where we would usually also welcome our Kindergarten parents and new families. We will need to do this in a special way in 2021 as soon as we are able.
