RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Beginning of School Mass and Commissioning of Year 6 Leaders
Yesterday, our school community gathered for a beautiful celebration of mass led by Father Paul. This was our first official gathering for the year and it was wonderful to share this with many of our parents who were able to attend. Mr Body led a beautiful music ministry supported by our Primary choir and Anthony (Yr 5).
After Mass, our Lear 6 Leaders were commissioned and blessed. Congratulations to these students who have already shown outstanding leadership this year. We also welcomed our 2022 Kindergarten students and those staff and students who have joined Holy Cross in other grades this year.
Lent Liturgy - Almsgiving
On Monday morning our Stage 3 students led a Lenten Liturgy with a focus on Almsgiving. This pillar of Lent is about giving to people in need. This Lent, almsgiving at Holy Cross will predominantly be to Project Compassion. Each student received a Project Compassion box to take home which we ask is returned by Week 11.
