Year 2 Spotlight on Learning
With the sun shining, Year 2 ventured outside this week to work on length in Mathematics. We are learning to:
- make and use a tape measure calibrated in uniform informal units
- compare and order two or more shapes according to their lengths using an appropriate uniform informal unit
- compare the lengths of two or more objects that cannot be moved or aligned (Reasons about relations)
- record length comparisons using drawings, numerals and words, and by referring to the uniform informal unit used




LIBRARY SHOWCASE
Our focus for this term in Library lessons is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education. We will be exploring texts, symbols and rituals to enhance our understanding. We look forward this term to also acknowledging Sorry Day, Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week.
