NAIDOC WEEK 2024
NAIDOC Week 2024The celebration of NAIDOC Week 2024 is from 7-14 July 2024 and is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate and recognise the contributions and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s NAIDOC Week theme of Keep the Fire Burning: Blak, Loud and Proud points us to the important opportunity to reflect on the strength of First Nations’ leadership and ways we can all be involved in keeping the fire burning for justice, truth and hope. During NAIDOC, we remember the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of our country and celebrate their rich cultures and inspiring contributions to Australia. |

Next Thursday 4 July we will be celebrating NAIDOC Week. This will be a mufti day with the students encouraged to wear their Indigenous jerseys if they have one or the colours Red, Black or Yellow.
We will commence the day with a Liturgy in the Library at 9:15am followed by rotational activities during the day. Thank you to Emilie Johnstone, Cara Baillie, Merryn Murray and their families for leading activities for us on this day. We conclude the day with a brief assembly at 2:30pm under the top COLA (weather permitting) where we will showcase some of our learnings. Parents are welcome to join us for any part of the day.
