SCHOOL NEWS

Uncle Kevin Butler

We are so pleased to report that Uncle Kevin Butler has been able to continue to work on our school values artworks commenced in 2023. On Friday 8th November, Uncle Kevin visited to say hello to our students, who warmly welcomed him. We also worked out a plan to complete the artworks. Our Hope and Integrity panels will  be given a coat of protective lacquer and installed in the holidays, in our undercover area where we line up in the mornings next to the canteen. Uncle Kevin will work on the COMPASSION artwork from his home studio, and visit us again in early 2025 to design our last panel of Justice for our students to complete over Term 1. We are so grateful to have him join us once again.

Check out these short video stories of the  Hope and Integrity panels, created by Uncle Kevin.

Leadership Day

Last Thursday we had a Leadership Day for Yr 4 and Yr 5 . It was led by Cameron who teaches students about being future leaders through a variety of activities. We played leadership games, like the ring on a stick game where we learnt how to coordinate and work as a team. We learnt that winning isn't everything and that everybody can be a leader. The knowledge gained in the rope activity showed us how to work together and give instructions clearly. Not everything is about yourself and talking. We also have to be good listeners. It was a great day for Year 4 and Year 5 because we are the future leaders of our school. This was a good day to learn about leadership and students should always experience this day as well when in Year 4 and Year 5. Written by Luke and Sage
