P&F Newsletter
The Holy Cross Parents & Friends Association (P&F) would like to welcome everyone back for the 2025 School Year. The P&F warmly invites all parents and caregivers to attend meetings, participate in events, and get involved in our supportive and inclusive community. Our first meeting this term is Wednesday 26th February in the school library from 6pm.
The school, P&F and parish community recently hosted a special welcome for our Kindergarten parents in the form of the 'Tea and Tissues' morning tea on Kindergarten students' first day of school. Thank you, Allie, Jess, Kathy & Jen for your work organising this lovely morning to celebrate this special day and meet some of our new families.
In 2024, the P&F supported numerous fundraising initiatives that simultaneously promoted community spirit, such as the school disco, Mother’s and Father’s Day events, the Pie Drive and the Second Hand Uniform Shop. These activities helped subsidise back to school purchases this year as well as fund resources such as library books, student magazine subscriptions, incursions, and upgrades to playground facilities including the very popular new soccer goals and the new basketball equipment!
However our biggest fundraiser is always the famous Holy Cross School Fete! The 2025 fete is fast approaching, promising a wonderful day of family fun on Saturday 15th March from 10am until 2pm.
Your much loved attractions will be there, including Side Show Alley, Face Painting and Rides and Choc Toss (note the mufti day coming up on Thursday 27th February to collect chocolates for our Choc Toss stall!) Make sure to try your luck on the Chocolate Wheel, Putt for Dough, Candy Tree and of course our Major Raffle which has over $2000 worth of donated prizes up for grabs including a Bissell Spot Cleaner, Easter Show Tickets and more!
If shopping is more your style, come and grab a bargain in the Secondhand Book, Puzzle and Games stall or pick up some new plants for your garden from the Plant stall. Those with a sweet tooth will just love our famous Sweet Treats Stall and for the kids - gelato, snow cones and fairy floss galore! And of course, you will have the chance to chillout to the DJs tunes at our BBQ or whilst wandering the Market Stalls.
The Fete cannot run without our parent community's support. We will be continuing to seek volunteers for the day via our Holy Cross P & F Facebook group. Alternatively you can contact the office or email
